About the Author and his works

Prof. Dr. Mai Ngoc Chu is linguist. He has been teaching Vietnamese language and linguistics at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities under Vietnam National University in Hanoi.

He is Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies now.

From 1987 to 1988 he taught Vietnamese at the Phnompenh University, Cambodia.

From 1993 to 1996 he taught Vietnamese at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He has a lot of the experience in teaching Vietnamese and writing the textbooks of Vietnamese language to foreigners.

Hi is the author of many books which were published in Vietnam and abroad.
